Bipolar Membranes and Junction Physics

My current research investigates bipolar membranes with a focus on junction physics, water dissociation mechanisms, and ion transport limitations. By combining electrochemical diagnostics with transport analysis, I aim to uncover fundamental design rules for efficient and durable BPM junctions.

Energy Mitigation of Debris Flow and Boulder Impacts

I designed large-scale boulder impact and debris-flow flume experiments to study energy dissipation and soil–structure interaction, laying the foundation for later experimental studies on successive boulder impacts in soil-embedded protective systems

Biochar-Based Soil and Geoenvironmental Engineering

This research explores biochar as a sustainable geomaterial to control soil cracking, enhance water retention, and improve geo-environmental performance. By combining experiments, image analysis, and predictive modeling, I link biochar microstructure to real-world engineering behavior.
